Child sexual violence is a serious issue that affects children in many ways, especially their mental health and ability to cope with trauma. In child protection, social workers play an important role in helping children recover by improving their coping skills. This study looks at how social workers support the development of coping strategies for child victims of sexual violence as part of their recovery and resilience-building. Using a qualitative approach, the study gathered data through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation involving social workers and child victims. The analysis focused on descriptive and narrative methods to explore mentoring practices, the nature of mentoring relationships, and the social environment that affects intervention effectiveness. The results indicate that child victims of sexual violence often show defensive and less effective coping strategies at the beginning of their recovery. Social worker mentoring that follows trauma-informed care principles plays a key role in creating a sense of safety, building trust, and helping children adopt better coping strategies. Additionally, the study finds that social support and reduced stigma are crucial for a successful recovery. This research confirms that improving coping strategies for child victims of sexual violence is a process that involves both structural and relational factors, rather than just individual efforts. Therefore, incorporating a trauma-informed care approach into social work and child protection policies is essential for ensuring long-lasting recovery that prioritizes the child’s best interests.
