This study aims to examine the fulfillment of the needs of the elderly in Cisalak Village, Cisarua District, Sumedang Regency. In addition, this study aims to identify potential improvements in meeting the needs of the elderly at the village level. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a survey approach. The research sample involved elderly individuals who were willing and able to become informants, as well as alternative informants from the families of the elderly in Cisalak Village. Data was collected through structured interviews and observations, and analyzed using qualitative data analysis. The results of the study show that the elderly in Cisalak Village are able to meet their physiological needs, safety and security needs, love and belonging needs, and esteem needs well. However, the elderly have not been able to adequately fulfill their self-actualization needs. Despite having a lot of time, they have not been able to utilize their abilities well. In addition, the elderly are less involved in community activities. Therefore, a program called Gali Lantera (Caring Families for Elderly Welfare) has been formulated, designed to involve the elderly in posbindu activities and provide counseling to the families of the elderly about fulfilling the needs of the elderly.
2025-01-01T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 Alif Eling Gusti, Pribowo Pribowo, Wiwit Widiansyahhttps://jurnal.poltekesos.ac.id/index.php/peksos/article/view/1355Peran Pekerja Sosial dalam Proses Pengangkatan Anak di Dinas Sosial Kabupaten Tangerang2024-12-08T06:59:16+00:00Desy Fitriarohmahdesyfitria024@gmail.comSilvia Fatmah Nurusshobahsilvia.nurusshobah@yahoo.comMoch Zaenal Hakimsilvia.nurusshobah@yahoo.com
The purpose of this study was to determine the role of social workers in the child adoption process. This study explores the self-concept of child victims of sexual violence at the Jayandu Widuri Integrated Service Center, Pemalang Regency, focusing on the social dimension. Utilizing the Tennessee Self-Concept Scale (TSCS), this research analyzes how trauma disrupts victims' ability to build trust and interact socially. Findings reveal that victims often experience isolation, social stigma, and difficulties in establishing interpersonal relationships. These challenges underscore the need for effective interventions to rebuild their self-concept and reduce social stigma. The study employs a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods, including structured interviews and thematic analysis, to evaluate the effectiveness of Social Group Work interventions. Results indicate that group-based activities, such as peer support and social simulations, significantly improve victims' social skills and confidence. Additionally, family involvement plays a critical role in reinforcing emotional support and facilitating recovery. However, deep-seated trauma and societal stigma remain barriers to effective rehabilitation, highlighting the importance of creating a supportive and inclusive environment. This research emphasizes the necessity of a holistic approach in addressing the multifaceted impacts of sexual violence on children. By integrating psychological, social, and community-based interventions, the findings advocate for the expansion of community rehabilitation programs like those at Jayandu Widuri. These insights provide a foundation for developing more inclusive policies and practices to ensure the optimal recovery of child victims, allowing them to reintegrate into society with a renewed sense of self-worth and confidence.
2024-12-31T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 Anugrah Fitria Berliannanda, Ami Maryami, Sri Ratna Ningrumhttps://jurnal.poltekesos.ac.id/index.php/peksos/article/view/1370Modal Sosial (Norma, Jaringan, Dan Kepercayaan): Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Di Pasar Mustokoweni Dalam Mengembangkan Umkm Di Yogyakarta2024-12-14T12:46:40+00:00SYAHLAN RISALmuh.syahlanrisal@gmail.comMuhammad Naufalnoufalm281@gmail.comM. Therefore, this study aims to find out how this market can survive through the perspective of social capital and see how it is managed, by using the qualitative method of case studies, pattern matchmaking analysis. Data is collected through interviews, observations, documentation, and archival records. Validity is tested by triangulation of sources, theories, and methods. The results of this study show that in the management of the Mustokoweni Market, the leaders adopt an autocratic leadership style, this can be seen in leaders who handle all managerial affairs alone. One of the government’s efforts to overcome poverty is through the Family Hope Program (PKH). PKH aims to reduce poverty rates by involving professional workers as social assistants. The role of social assistants is very much needed in efforts to improve the welfare of PKH KPM, but in Mekarjaya Village there have been no KPMs whohave successfully graduated independently. This study aims todescribe the role of social assistants in achieving independent graduation. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. After the data was collected, data validation was carriedout using triangulation techniques. Data analysis techniques were carried out both before and after data collection in the field whichincluded data reduction, data presentation, and drawingconclusions. The results of the study showed that there were three roles that were carried out quite well, the first role as a motivator, social assistants provide motivation in Family Capacity BuildingMeeting (P2K2) activities and home visits, the second role as aneducator through the delivery of all modules in P2K2, the third role as a facilitator by facilitating KPM in P2K2 activities to listen, respond, and provide space for KPM to participate in each meeting. Other roles, namely accelerator of change, liaison, social planner, mediator, and advocate have not been carried out optimally. This is because the assignment period is relatively short so that they do not understand all the needs and characteristics of KPM. In addition tothe transfer of work areas, the burden of assisting two village areas is one of the contributing factors. Furthermore, the dependence of KPM on PKH social assistance and the target of independent graduation are challenges for social assistants.
2025-01-02T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 Evi Nurhayatihttps://jurnal.poltekesos.ac.id/index.php/peksos/article/view/1396Kesiapsiagaan Masyarakat Menghadapi Bencana Di Kecamatan Gedebage Kota Bandung2024-12-08T07:28:29+00:00Rajendra Panggita Vasthurajendrapanggita@gmail.comTeta Riasihteta.riasih@poltekesos.ac.idRosilawati Rosilawatirosilawati.stks@gmail.com
The 2021 Bandung City Disaster Risk Assessment (DRA) identified Gedebage Subdistrict as a high-risk area for major earthquakes.
