Trafficking in human beings is a vast and complex problem that requires a multidimensional approach to effective intervention. This abstract explores the role of social work in dealing with human trafficking based on the synthesis of relevant literature. Social workers play an important role in combating human trafficking by identifying victims, providing a victim-centric approach, and offering comprehensive services to crossers. They play an important role in raising awareness, advocating policy change, and promoting social justice initiatives to address the root causes of human trafficking. Through their dedication to the promotion of human rights, social justice, and empowerment, social workers make a significant contribution to combating human trafficking.

Penggunaan Bahasa Tabu pada Siswa-Siswi di Panti Asuhan Al-Mizan Kecamatan Gunung Anyar Tambak Surabaya

Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan (1) Mengetahui bentuk bahasa tabu yang digunakan oleh siswa-siswi panti asuhan Al-Mizan; (2) Upaya pencegahan penggunaan bahasa tabu siswa-siswi panti asuhan Al-Mizan; dan (3) Faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan siswa-siswi di Panti Asuhan Al-Mizan menggunakan bahasa tabu. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif, metode ini yaitu wawacara tidak langsung menggunakan google form dengan tahapan-tahapan mengumpulkan data, menyeleksi data, mendeskripsikan keseluruhan data, dan menganalisis data yang ditarik kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu (1) Bentuk bahasa tabu yang digunakan oleh siswa-siswi panti asuhan Al-Mizan meliputi beberapa penggolongan jenis-jenis Bahasa tabu atau pisuhan yaitu nama binatang, kata-kata vulgar untuk cabul yang berkaitan dengan anggota tubuh, kelemahan seseorang, hujatan agar celaka, dan berbuat keji; (2) Upaya pencegahan penggunaan bahasa tabu siswa-siswi panti asuhan Al-Mizan adalah memberikan contoh yang baik, memberikan pemahaman mengenai kata-kata yang baik dan benar, memberikan penghargaan dan pujian, memberikan alternatif kata-kata yang lebih sopan, dan menjaga lingkungan yang sehat; dan (3) Faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan siswa-siswi di Panti Asuhan Al-Mizan menggunakan bahasa tabu adalah pengaruh lingkungan sekitar, kurangnya pengawasan dari orang tua, rasa ingin mencoba, dan dorongan untuk mencari perhatian.

Elderly rehabilitation is one of the programs made by the government to provide services to people who are 60 years and over but have welfare problems. This research aims to analyze the use of the UPT of the Elderly Rehabilitation Social Home and Rehabilitation of the Disabled Mulia Dharma as an effort to improve the welfare of the elderly. This research uses a qualitative method that takes a descriptive approach. The data taken for this study uses observation methods, in-depth interviews and documentation. From the research results of the UPT Elderly Rehabilitation Social Center and Rehabilitation of People with Disabilities Mulia Dharma has been said to be optimal because the services and facilities provided can improve the welfare of the elderly who live there.

THE ROLE OF SOCIAL WORKERS IN THE SOCIAL REHABILITATION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM FOR ELDERLY AT SENTRA TERPADU PANGUDI LUHUR BEKASI, WEST JAVA

The purpose of this study is to determine, explain, and analyze the role of social workers in the elderly social rehabilitation assistance program (ATENSI-LU), especially the role of social workers in implementing the stages of the service process and providing assistance to the elderly. This research design is descriptive-qualitative research. The informants were social workers, the elderly, and the head of the institution (supervisor of social workers). The data collection techniques used were focus group discussions, interviews, observations, and documentation studies. Data validity used tests of credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability. The data analysis technique used the Miles and Huberman model, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing.

The role of social workers in the ATENSI-LU program is quite good, because they have been able to carry out eleven roles, namely as: Enabler, Broker, Advocate, Mediator, Negotiator, Educator, Initiator, Empowerer, Coordinator, Researcher, and Group facilitator, but there are two roles that have not been implemented, namely the role of Activist and Public speaker. This is because social workers depend on the assignment of the head of the institution and budget availability. Social workers lack the courage to innovate and be creative in making policy improvements to improve the quality of services and assistance, and fulfill the needs and rights of the elderly. Social workers assume that the task of informing the problems and needs of the elderly is the task of the head of the institution. The role of social workers still needs to be improved because: (1) Not all types of social worker roles can be implemented, (2) Social workers have not been able to carry out each role optimally, (3) Social workers focus more on administration to reduce inspection findings, and (4) The program is implemented by all employees, making it less professional. To improve the role of social workers then: (1) Social workers need to better master the program, be more sensitive and concerned about receiving complaints from the elderly, and fight for the fulfillment of the needs and rights of the elderly. (2) STPL Bekasi needs to establish cooperation to improve and develop the capacity of social workers. (3) The Ministry of Social Affairs needs to socialize the program, coordinate, and improve and develop the capacity of social workers.

Pendampingan Terhadap Korban Kekerasan Seksual Di Yayasan Samahita Bersama Kita Bandung

The research entitled Assistance for Victims of Sexual Violence at the Samahita Bersama Kita Foundation Bandung is research that will fully explain and describe the psychosocial assistance provided by the Samahita Bersama Kita Foundation Bandung in dealing with victims of sexual violence so that they can return to their social functions and help victims of sexual violence in their lives. fulfill their rights, as well as the development of assistance provided by the Samahita Foundation from time to time. The method used in this research is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, using documentation studies and literature studies. The results of this research found that psychosocial assistance acts as a friend to tell stories to victims, so that victims have a safe and comfortable space in telling stories about cases that occurred and help victims restore their social functioning.

The Advocacy To Reduce Stigma And Discrimination Against Women With HIV/AIDS

This article examines the role of advocacy in reducing stigma and discrimination against women living with HIV/AIDS. Despite the progress made in addressing this issue, stigma and discrimination continue to pose significant challenges for women with this condition, undermining their confidence and participation in social and economic life. Advocacy is identified as a crucial strategy in addressing these issues, through raising public awareness, providing social support, and advocating for the reform of discriminatory policies. This article also discusses interventions such as public education programs and support groups, which are effective in reducing stigma and discrimination. The research method employed is a literature review, which provides a comprehensive overview of the role of advocacy and offers guidance for researchers and activists in addressing this issue. In the discussion, this article posits that advocacy can alter public attitudes, advocate for the rights of women with HIV/AIDS, and promote a more comprehensive understanding of this condition. Furthermore, advocacy can combat stigma and gender discrimination through public campaigns, discussion forums, and educational programs. This article offers insights into the significance of advocacy in reducing stigma and discrimination against women with HIV/AIDS, as well as outlining tangible measures to enhance the protection of their rights.
